EM Stereo Microscopes
Click on the Microscopes for full details.

Unlike compound microscopes that give a 2-dimensional flat image, stereo microscopes give the viewer an "erect" (upright and un-reversed) stereoscopic (3-dimensional) image. This is particularly useful for biologists performing dissections, technicians repairing circuit boards, paleontologists cleaning and examining fossils or anyone who needs to work on small objects. From Archeologists to Zoologists, from engravers to machinists, every well-equipped laboratory, shop or R&D facility uses our stereo microscopes in an infinite number of ways.

Few manufacturers of stereo microscopes can match Meiji's combination of superb optics, rugged dependability, economical pricing and wide range of accessories offered by Meiji Techno's EM Series Stereo Microscopes. Below are three types of stereo microscopes to fit your budget and application: fixed magnification, turret-type and zoom. For high-end, research-grade stereo microscopy, please look at our CMO-type RZ Series.

EMF Fixed Body Stereo Microscopes

Fixed magnification microscopes are perfect when work can be performed in one magnification usually low power like 5, 10, or 20x.

Fixed bodies are the least expensive and are perfect for assembly work, inspection and other low magnification work.

EMT Turrent Body Stereo Microscopes

Turret body microscopes are useful when rough work can be performed in one magnification, let's say 10x and then the higher setting for finish and inspection like 20 or 30x.

Turret bodies are inexpensive and are also available with a third tube or phototube. Turret binocular and turret trinocular are perfect for assembly work, inspection and other low magnification work.

EMZ Zoom Body Stereo Microscopes

Zoom body microscopes are the most flexible as their magnification can be changed much like a zoom on a camera and therefore they can achieve higher magnification than fixed or turrets.

Because of their flexibility, zoom bodies can be used in every possible field of work from looking at moon rocks to insects and everything else in between.

Also available in trinocular models for cameras, the EMZ is Meiji's most popular product line.

S4 Series

The Leica StereoZoom S4 line was developed in collaboration with
well-known companies along with experts from the fields of science,
education and criminology. The specific know-how of our
customers and the technological expertise of Leica
Microsystems produced a stereomicroscope line that combines
all the advantages of the Greenough optical system with the performance
characteristics expected of a Leica microscope.

S6 Series

Only the Leica StereoZoom S6 line offers

• Maximum 36.5mm field of view – reduced sample handling and inspection times
• Versions with 38° or 60° viewing angle – promotes proper posture and improved comfort
• Ergonomic objectives for optimized viewing height
• World’s most advanced ESD protection – Leica S6 T “Terminator“
• Transmitted light base with adjustable reflector – flexible and cost effective illumination
• 40× eyepieces for eyeglass wearers – highest

Zoom2000 Series

The Leica Zoom 2000 stereomicroscope combines high performance
with flexible features to offer the optimal viewing experience. For
education and observation, it delivers crystal clear optics with a wide
range of magnification.

Choose between two models: the student-proof Zoom 2000 standard
model or, for a larger range of viewing options, the Zoom 2000 with
focusable eye tubes. The standard Zoom 2000 with fixed eyepieces
offers magnification ranging from 7x-30x and 10.5x-45x. The Zoom 2000 with focusable eyetubes offers standard models with 10x or 15x
removable eyepieces. Measuring reticles are available with these models, as well as additional eyepieces providing total magnification up to 90x.
